Tactical Emergency Medical Support Course (3 day) As the concept of Tactical Emergency Medical Care evolves so too must entry level training. Designed to provide the already certified or licensed medical practitioner an enhanced understanding of the special operations setting while developing tactical and medical skills found only the most of hazardous of environments. Developed and presented in conjunction with experienced Tactical EMS physicians and providers from federal and military tactical units, this program represents the next evolutionary benchmark for the entry level TEMS provider. Tactical Concepts include small unit movement, weighted escape and evasion, extraction techniques under fire, multi-casualty active shooter considerations (MCAS), Tactical Medical Mission planning, and more. Medical training includes basic and advanced techniques developed and proven in special operations worldwide. Three (long) days culminate in a field training exercise. Unique to this program, students will be expected to operate as a medical support element separated from a tactical team. Thus forced to assure their own safety as well as that of their patients. Continuing medical education credit will be awarded. A must for all members of any special operations unit. This programs offers the student instruction and practice in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR; Bleeding and Wound Care (specific to high risk and combat situations); Airway Management; Assessment and Treatment of Fractures; Tactical Rescue operations; and patient handling. The students participate in several realistic field training exercises designed specifically for persons operating in high risk law-enforcement or protective operations who have not had any previous medical training. Emergency Medical Technician - Tactical (with National EMT Testing) In addition to receiving certification upon completion of this Nationally recognized EMT program, each student receives additional instruction in operational medicine, tactical operations, and those skills utilized in combat and high-risk situations. This program is considered to be the entry level program for any person responsible for operating as a medic in a tactical environment. The students receive comprehensive training directed to the unique area of operating in a high risk and or remote areas of operation. The class completes with several realistic field training exercises. Protective Operations Medical Support This three day (40 hour) program is offered to protection specialists and other authorized agencies. The program includes detailed medical instruction and challenging practical exercises preparing the protection specialist to operate in the most austere or hostile environments. This program offers intensive protection oriented medical training and practical exercises not found in any other curriculum. Field training exercises include the use of realistic scenarios. Students will receive nationally recognized certificates of completion as they enter into the initial provider level of EMS. Executive Travel Medicine Program This program consists of a two day (16 hour) training course for NON-MEDICALLY trained traveler. This program provides the ground work for safe, effective emergency medical attention for the majority of travel related ailments and injuries, coupled with the resources of a special travel medicine kit. The course provides nationally recognized certification in First Aid and Adult Basic Life Support for a period of two years, along with physician authorization to carry and refill prescription pharmaceuticals in the kit. Street Officer - Tactical First Aid Course Patrol Officers on today's streets are faced with an ever-growing number of medical emergencies in a high stress, tactical environment. Street Officer Tactical First Aid is designed to review and enhance the initial medical first aid training received by local law enforcement officers. The one-day fast paced, hands on program will introduce tactical medical skills, unique patient assessment techniques and prudent tactical patient management for use in a litigious society. These skills and concepts have been tested and proven by elite military and law enforcement tactical medical teams. One week DOT/Nationally recognized refresher training for EMT personnel. Classes may be held at your facility if necessary. Tactical Team Close Quarters Countermeasures One week of instruction in internationally recognized and court defensible CQC (close quarters combat). Included are high and low level stuns, takedowns, firearm retention, firearms removal, use of force continuum, sensitive less-lethal sentry removal and specialized linear environment and multi-operator techniques. |
